Once upon a time -
There was a driven, successful, and deeply caring woman at the peak of her career who, despite her achievements and outward success, felt an unmistakable void within. That woman was me.
As a high-achieving professional, I excelled at taking care of everyone and everything in my life. Except myself. My career was in constant overdrive, my marriage felt empty, and personal joy had become a distant memory. Despite my professional accomplishments, I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and secretly longing for something more.
Then came the morning I barely recognized the woman in the mirror. Behind the polished exterior was someone who felt deeply disconnected from herself. I hadn't lost myself — I had lost access to myself. I was living on autopilot, checking all the right boxes and quietly missing the woman underneath them.
I knew that this was not what God had intended for my life.
Standing there, I asked myself the questions that would change everything: "Who am I beneath these achievements? What sets my soul on fire? Where is my voice when it comes to my own life? What do I truly desire?" In that moment of clarity, I saw it: while I was pouring my gifts into advancing my career and supporting everyone around me, I had set myself aside. And I knew, undeniably, that it was time to come home to her.
